Fawnheart turned back to face the entrance and sprinted out onto the moor before slowing her pace back down to a springy trot. She glanced over at Lightfoot with a question gaze, a sly grin on her face as well. "What were you laughing at back there?" She questioned him, knowing something had amused him and wanting to know what it was. She continued walking along through the flat lands of Windclan, enjoying the warm sun that was now shining down on all of the four clans. New leaf was finally upon them and everything was coming back to life. Including the clans. She glanced over at him once more as she waited for him to respond.

Before answering, Lightfoot looked around him and admired the scenery. It was a beautiful, sunny morning, and the gentle breeze blowing against them would be good for hunting. Then he looked to her, a glimer in his eyes.
"Oh, Fawnheart, come on. You totally like him." He said, giving her a playfull shove with his shoulder.
Then, he started to pick up his pace to a jog.
"Well, I'm afraid we can't worry about that right now. Race 'ya to the lake!" He said, and then began sprinting towards the sparkly blue water, without looking back to make sure she was coming.

Fawnheart rolled her eyes at his response and then watched as he began to take off towards the lake. She laughed a little before sprinting after him, catching up to him and bumping into him to try and push him off balance before speeding towards the lake. Once she got there, she slid to a stop and turned to look at Lightfoot. "I do not like him. . . We are friends. . ." She replied as she took in big gulps of air after running the race to the lake. When she finally regained her breath, she gazed out across the lake before turning back to look at Lightfoot again, waiting for his remark that was most definitely going to be coming.

Lightfoot got off of balance when she pushed him, but quickly regained it. He ran more, coming to the shore just a step after her.
"Say what you want...But I'll believe what I want to." He said, breathing hard.
He opened his mouth to taste the air, and soon detected rabbit. He took a few stpes away from where they were sitting and scanned the area. He saw the white hare, and then crouched down. He slowly stalked towards it and, just a few feet away, he leaped. The rabbit had heard him coming and began to run, but Lightfoot was quicker. The ginger tom got close enough and pounced on the rabbit, and then swifty killed it with a bite to the neck. Then, he took it back to Fawnheart, dropping it at her feet.
"Your turn." He said.

Fawnheart rolled her eyes as she saw Lightfoot come back and drop the rabbit he had caught at her feet. "You can believe whatever you want but my heart belongs to another. . ." She replied, trailing off mysteriously before taking off and disappearing into the tall moorland grass. A few moments passed before she returned but when she did, she had two hares in her jaws and a sparrow. Fawnheart strolled slowly and proudly towards Lightfoot before dropping her catch at his paws like he had done to her. "Beat that buddy boy." She replied with a wink and a sly smirk, her golden eyes shining.

Lightfoot gave her a challenging stare for a coupel of moments, and then ran down to the lake. He stood over a small ridge where the water was plenty deep below, perfect for fishing. He crouched down to wait, but didn't have to wait long before a fat, shiny fish came swimming up. He quickly dabbed his paw in to bring the fish out, and then killed it with a bite on the neck. He repeated the process, and then came back with two, good-sized fish.
"Ha! And you don't even know how to fish!" He declared, dropping his catch near his rabbit.

Fawnheart rolled her eyes as he came back with two fishes. "Yeah yeah big deal." He purred with laughter before picking up her catch and getting ready to head back to camp but stopped and looked over her shoulder at him, her eyes gleaming. "Good luck carrying all that back to camp." He called through the fur of the rabbits. She knew from experience that fish were very slippery and trying to carry two of them and a rabbit as well was not going to be an easy task. She started to walk off but slowed her pace and listened behind her to see how he was doing with the difficult task.

Lightfoot stuck his tounge out at her, and picked up the rabbit first. Then, he picked up the fish. They almost slipped out, but he was able to catch them before they fell. He trotted for just a few moments to get caught up with her, and then he slowed his pace to match her's. He didn't say anything, it wasn't that he couldn't think of anything to talk about, but trying to understand someone with two fish and a giant hare in their mouth isn't exactly easy, so he kept quiet.

Fawnheart rolled her eyes as Lightfoot trotted to catch up with her and then walked along beside her the rest of the way towards the camp. He had managed to carry all of his prey without having to make two trips and she had to admit it was quite impressive. But of course she wouldn't tell him that. When they finally reached the camp entrance, she padded in first and put her catch on the fresh kill pile before turning back to see how far behind Lightfoot was. Her golden eyes gleamed with amusement as she watched him enter the camp. When he padded close enough to her, she grinned. "You know the only reason you can carry all that is because you have a big mouth!" She purred with laughter at her own joke.

Lightfoot trotted into camp and dropped his catch on the fresh-kill pile. Then he padded back over to Fawnheart, purring with laughter as he batted her ear playfully.
"Well, yes, I do have quite a big mouth, but I also have other, more interesting reasons." He meowed.
He wasn't about to tell her the real reason that he knew how to fish near perfectly and bring the slippery prey back without dropping it. He would tell her at some point, but not here in camp. If to many cats heard about it, there could be trouble.
He padded back over to the pile of prey, and chose one of his fish for himself. Then he went back over to Fawnheart and began eating, savoring his late breakfast.

Fawnheart laughed as she watched him drop his kill on the pile and then grab a fish and begin to eat it. She sighed, since she had already eaten breakfast, she wasn't hungry so instead she went and laid down near Lightfoot as he continued to eat his breakfast. She instead began to groom her golden tabby fur, cleaning out the debri and fly away patches of fur, her tongue working gracefully until her entire coat gleamed in the early afternoon sun that filtered into the camp. "Ya know, you're pretty good at catching fish. . ." She said simply, her voice somewhat soft and she cast his a sideways glance to see what his reaction would be to her comment. She knew him to well to know that something was there that she didn't know about and she wanted to know about it.

Lightfoot laughed a little, and then purred happily as she sat down. He was mainly focused on eating his delicious fish, but from time to time he would look over and watch Fawnheart groom herself. He finished, and admired her now shiny, sleek pelt. He returned the sideways glance that she had given him, and and sighed, putting his head down. Then, he stood up and stretched.
"Well, if you really wanna know, I have to tell you outside of the camp. It's to risky to have other cats hearing." He said, hushing his voice so only the two of them could hear.
He began walking away, almost to the camp entrance.
"You coming?" he asked her as he looked over his shoulder.

Fawnheart narrowed her eyes at Lightfoot suspiciously as he told her they had to leave the camp if she wanted to know why he was so good at catching fish. Her curiousity finally got the best of her and she rose to her paws once more before heading towards the camp entrance. She threw a quick glance over her shoulder to see if any cat was watching them before she turned and ran the rest of the way to the camp entrance. Once outside the camp, they walked a little ways away from the camp before stopping. Fawnheart looked at Lightfoot expectantly, a smile on her face.

Lightfoot looked back, and he felt slightly relieved that she was coming. It would be good to have some other cat know after keeping the secret bottled up for so many years. He sat down in the spot where Fawnheart had stopped, then waited for her to get comfortable. He couldn't smile back, though, for as soon as he started thinking about his brother, a pang of sadness overcame him. He sighed, and began to speak to her.
"You remember Sealpaw, my brother, who always got picked on by everyone? And how he got attacked by a fox one night?"

Fawnheart sat down in front of him. Her smile instantly fell as she saw how serious his face had gotten when he asked her about his brother. She nodded slowly in response but was unable to find her voice enough to respond. She had remembered Lightfoot's brother, she had always pitied him a little since he had been picked on but almost everyone. Her eyes glanced down at her paws in sadness at the memory of his brother before she raised her gaze again and watched him, waiting for his next words.
