Lightfoot felt Fawnheart's sadness, and was happy when he remembered that she had pittied him when they were younger, only slightly, but atleast she hadn't been one of the ones teasing her.
"He actually didn't ever die. We made up that story." He said. Before Fawnheart had the chance to say anything, he continued. "But we had our reasons. Sealpaw was having a horrible time with everything in WindClan; he wasn't fast, couldn't hunt rabbits, and he was constantly picked on. So, me and him made a plan for him to go to RiverClan, and luckily, he was accepted there."
Lightfoot was quiet for a while, and then looked back up at her. "I hope you're not mad." He said.

Fawnheart was silent for a very long time as her mind went over everything she had just been told. How could that be true? But it had to be because she knew that Lightfoot wouldn't make something like that up. . . would he? No. He definitely wouldn't. She finally raised her eyes from the ground to look at him, a confused look on her face but it slowly disappeared as she began to piece things together. "No, I'm not mad. You should have told me though. . ." She mewed softly, looking at him and then rising to her paws and turning to leave. How could he have not told her this? She had been very upset to hear about Sealpaw's death. And this whole time he had been alive and well in Riverclan.

Lightfoot met her confused gaze, seeing the mixed emotions in her eyes. He opened his mouth to speak, but couldn't find the right words to say to her. When she got up to leave, he hesitated to follow her, but eventually he got up. He trotted to her, and then walked by her side.
"I'm sorry." He began to apoligize. "I know it wasn't right of me to keep it from you, but when was the right time to say it? I was just as upset as any cat, I have a wonderful brother who I can't spend time with because of the clan laws. I can only see him at gatherings. Sure, it's better than having him dead, but it's still horrible. I'm sorry, Fawnheart.

Fawnheart continued to walk away, even though he was beside her in a moment she kept walking, her eyes staying on the ground as she thought about it. She sighed finally and raised her eyes from the ground to look over at him again. She stopped walking and turned to facing him before sitting down, her expression left angry and hurt than it had been a moment before. "I understand, it's alright Lightfoot." She purred back, smiling at him as she tilted her head to one side a little.

Lightfoot returned the smile and then blinked to show his thanks. He purred back, and then looked at her.
"Thanks Fawnheart, I'm glad you understand." He said.
He looked around at the WindClan moor a little bit before speaking again.
"Well, I better go. I have some catching up to do with Mintfrost. See ya!"
Then, he turned around and trotted back to camp.

Fawnheart's light brown eyes followed after Lightfoot as he headed back to the camp and she waited until he was completely out of sight before she let her smile slid from her face to be replaced by a frown. She looked down at her front paws, her head hanging and a sigh escaped her as her front paws shuffled around in the grass. Finally after a little while longer, she rose back to her paws and headed back towards the camp as well, trying to hide her sad expression and to put on a fake smile.
