Ok, so you might have noticed I haven't been replying to much lately and there is a reason for that. I have some bad news, and I mean really bad news, for about 3 months now my hearing has been progressively growing worse and worse. I went to the doctor today and it seems very likely that I am going at least partially, if not completely, deaf.

Thanks Nyx. I just feel like crying. I can hear loud noises a little bit still so I'm still kind of functioning but I just didn't think it was going to much worse than that. I do know ASL and can read lips so I'll still be able to talk with others but it'll be hard. I really don't mean to complain, I just need to talk about this.

Nightflower, you have every reason to be scared. I can't imangine how upset you must be, since I've never been through soemthing like this, so all I can say is that I hope you can get better, or atleast not go deaf..

I just found out today that I qualify for a service dog, I think I'm going to apply... It could be up to 4 months before I find out anything though.

I already have two, a neurotic wiener dog and a stupid shih tzu (she doesn't even know her own name)
